TASTING NOTES

This is still very fresh with almost no secondary development on the nose and revealing ripe cherry, earth and game aromas followed by exuberant, rich, sweet and persistent flavors. While this is not particularly dense, the precision and minerality make for aA delicious effort that possesses none of the shortcomings of the ’97 vintage. This could easily be drunk now but there is such good overall balance that it will easily be capable of improving for another 3 to 5 years.

Allen Meadows, Burghound
